Nordic Design Consulting
The Finnish National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care defines
learning environments as the spaces, communities, practices, and resources that support children’s growth, learning, and social interactions. The Finnish school environment is
relaxed, learner-centred, and emphasizes nature and exploration. The schools are designed
to be open and flexible, and the curriculum encourages students to be active participants
in their learning. Effective learning environments foster collaboration and shared creation
of knowledge. Our spatial recommendations are co-created by Finnish and Indian architectsinspired by Finnish guidelines and tailored to align with the vision of Finland
Education Hub. We aim for the highest standards, while also emphasizing the importance
of considering local laws and guiding principles when designing these spaces.
